In this guide
Forex signals and crypto signals are trade ideas shared by an analyst or a service: buy or sell, at which price, with a stop loss and targets. Millions of traders follow signal channels on Telegram. Some signals are excellent learning tools; many are marketing with a nice logo. This guide shows you how to tell them apart and how to trade signals without risking your account.
What a complete signal looks like
A real signal always has five parts:
- Market: for example XAU/USD, EUR/USD or BTC/USDT.
- Direction: buy (long) or sell (short).
- Entry: a price or a small zone.
- Stop loss: where the idea is wrong.
- Targets: one or more take-profit levels.
A message like "GOLD BUY NOW 🚀🚀" without a stop loss is not a signal. It is a gamble.
How to judge a signal provider
- Track record: do they post every trade, including losses, with dates? Can you check old posts?
- Risk reward: targets should usually be at least 1.5 to 2 times the stop distance.
- Win rate and drawdown: a 50% win rate with 1:2 risk reward is very profitable. A 95% win rate claim is almost always fake.
- Consistency: a few quality setups a day beat 30 random calls.
- Education: good providers explain why they take a trade.

Red flags of fake signal channels
- Profit screenshots but no losing trades ever.
- Stop losses that are moved or deleted after the fact.
- "Guaranteed" profits or fixed monthly returns.
- Pressure to deposit with an unknown broker to "unlock" VIP signals.
- Requests for your account password or private keys. Never share them.
How to trade signals safely
Even the best crypto futures signals or gold signals cannot protect you from bad position sizing. Follow these rules:
- Size from the stop loss. Risk a fixed 1% of your account per signal, whatever the provider's confidence.
- Keep leverage low on crypto futures, and check the liquidation price before entering.
- Do not chase. If price has already moved far past the entry, skip the trade.
- Respect the stop. Moving the stop away to avoid a loss is how small losses become big ones.
- Track every signal in a journal for at least a month before trusting a provider with real size.

Free forex signals are often a sample of the provider's work, which is a good way to test them. VIP channels usually add more setups, earlier entries, live updates (move stop to break-even, close partial) and a discussion room where you can ask questions. Pay only after you have tracked the free signals for a few weeks.
Signals plus your own analysis
The strongest approach is to use signals as ideas, then confirm them yourself: is the trend on the 4-hour chart in the same direction? Is high-impact news due? Is the market near a key level? The Alice scanner score, the economic calendar and the Best Trades list let you check a signal in seconds.

Frequently asked questions
Are forex signals profitable?
Some are, many are not. Judge them by a complete track record over months, including losses and drawdown.
What is a good win rate for signals?
With a risk reward of 1:2, a win rate of 40% to 55% is already profitable. Claims above 90% should make you suspicious.
Should I copy every signal?
No. Skip signals that conflict with major news, that you missed by a wide margin, or that would break your daily risk limit.
Do crypto signals work for futures?
Yes, if they include a stop loss and you use low leverage. Always check the liquidation price before entering.
